- It has always existed(immaterial) and is therefore uncaused, or
- It had a beginning and was caused(material) by something else
This being the case, only an immaterial Being could have been the first cause.
To deny this, you must assert that either:
- Material is eternal, and thus defies both logic and science; or
- That something can come from nothing, which also defies logic and science.
All the evidence from science and logic points to an eternal, everlasting Beginner.
If this is not the best conclusion, what is yours?
Christians are accused of worshiping blindly. I have faith, and my faith is in the Lord Jesus Christ. I don't need to see love, wind, or thoughts to know they exist, I see the evidence all around me. If you need to be intellectually persuaded, and there is nothing wrong with that because most of us do, examine the evidence of science, philosophy and logic listed above and think about the following:
“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”-Hebrews 11:6
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." -Matthew 7:7-8
Thanks for checking in and God Bless.
